The background didn't disappear
Transparency removes one colour. Use the colour picker on the backdrop itself and raise the similarity a little. A busy or uneven background can't be removed this way.

What makes a sticker different from a GIF
A sticker is a small square animation with strict rules about its file. WhatsApp's published rules for animated stickers are a 512 × 512 animated WebP of 500 KB or less. Discord's stickers are reported as 320 × 320, under 512 KB, as an APNG (an animated PNG).
Both look best with a see-through background, so the sticker sits on the chat instead of in a box. That works when the thing you filmed is in front of a single flat colour, like a green screen, a wall or a sheet of paper.
Telegram's video stickers are WebM files, which this tool doesn't make yet, so this page covers WhatsApp and Discord.

Add a GIF or a short clip
Two or three seconds is plenty. Stickers are meant to loop, so a short movement reads better than a long one.

Crop to a square
On the Edit tab, choose the 1:1 crop and move the square over the subject.

Remove the background (optional)
Under More tools, turn on Transparent background and pick the backdrop colour. It works best with a flat, even colour.

Fit it and save
For WhatsApp keep WebP at 512px and fit to 500 KB. For Discord choose APNG at 320px and fit to 512 KB. Then create and download it.

Common problems and quick fixes
WhatsApp won't accept the sticker
Check it is exactly 512 × 512 (square crop and 512px width) and under 500 KB, then add it through a sticker pack app.
It comes out too big
Shorten the clip, lower the frame rate to 10, or press Fit with the sticker target chosen.
The edges look jagged
That's the trade-off of a hard cut-out. A slightly lower similarity keeps more of the edge; a plain backdrop helps most.

Which format to choose
Stickers have fixed formats: WebP for WhatsApp, APNG for Discord. GIF is the fallback when an app takes anything.
