By using Online GIF Maker (the “service”) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What the service does
The service converts videos, GIFs and pictures you provide into GIF, WebP, MP4 or APNG files, with optional editing such as trimming, cropping, captions and speed changes. It is provided free of charge. Features, limits and availability may change.
Your content and your responsibility
You keep all rights in the files you upload and in the results. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process your files and return the result to you.
You confirm that you own the content or have the right to use and convert it, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is illegal, or that exploits or endangers children;
- upload content that infringes copyright, privacy or other rights, or that you have no permission to process;
- upload malware or files designed to harm or overload the service;
- use the link-import or GIF downloader features to reach private or internal networks, or to scan or attack other systems;
- use the meme generator to harass, impersonate or defame a person, or to make content that is unlawful or exploits children;
- use the GIF downloader to copy, republish or sell content you have no right to use, or to get around logins, paywalls or other access controls;
- bypass or interfere with rate limits, security measures or other users’ access, or use automated tools to place excessive load on the service;
- resell or offer the service to others as your own without our permission.
Limits and availability
There are limits on upload size, clip length, number of conversions, link lookups and downloads per hour, and how long results are kept. Results are deleted automatically, so download what you need. We try to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and conversions may fail or take longer at busy times.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that results will meet your needs, match the original exactly, or that file-size estimates will be accurate. Estimates are approximate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost files, data or profits arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Copyright and complaints
Results are private to you and are removed after a short period. The exception is the share link: if you create one, anyone who has it can open the file for 24 hours. You are responsible for what you share, and you must not share anything you have no right to share.
If you believe something here infringes your rights, or you have another complaint, use the report form. A report that includes a share link takes that file offline straight away, and a person reviews it afterwards. Knowingly sending a false copyright claim can have legal consequences for you.
The GIF downloader and link import only work with content you own, have permission to use, or that is clearly free to reuse. We may block websites, and we refuse links from subscription streaming services altogether.

Suspension
We may limit, suspend or block access to the service at any time if we believe these terms are being broken or the service is being abused.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of this service is established, and courts there have jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
