The short version
- There are no accounts. We do not ask for your name or email to convert a file.
- Files you upload are processed on our servers only to create the file you asked for.
- The original upload is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes. The result is deleted automatically after one hour, unless you choose to share it (see below).
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
What we process
Your files. Videos, GIFs or pictures you choose, and the settings you pick (trim times, size, format, crop, captions and so on). Caption text is used only to draw the captions onto your result.
Links you import. If you paste a link to a video file, our server downloads that file on your behalf so you can edit it. The link itself is not stored with your conversion.
Meme generator. A picture you add to the meme generator is drawn and saved entirely in your browser; it is not uploaded. If you caption a GIF or video instead, it is processed like any other conversion.
GIF downloader. If you paste a link into the GIF downloader, our server opens that address and the media files it points to so it can show you previews. Chosen files are streamed straight to your browser; no copy is kept, and the address you pasted is not stored.
Technical data. Like any website, our servers and network providers receive your IP address and browser details when you connect. We use these to deliver the site, prevent abuse and enforce rate limits. File names, file contents, cookies and conversion error details are not written to our application logs; the logs keep randomly generated job IDs, byte counts, job states and error types.
How long we keep things
- Original uploads: deleted immediately after a conversion completes, fails or is cancelled.
- Converted results: available to you for one hour (this is the default and may be configured by the operator), then deleted. The page shows the exact time your download expires.
- Shared results: nothing is shared unless you press "Share link & embed code". Then the result is kept for 24 hours at a link that anyone who has it can open, and it is deleted afterwards. You can stop sharing at any time from the same panel.
- Reports: if you send us a copyright or abuse report, we keep what you wrote in it, including your name and email address, for as long as we need to deal with it and keep a record of the decision.
- Imported links: the downloaded copy is deleted when you start a conversion, or at the latest when the retention period ends.
- Unfinished uploads: cleaned up automatically within about an hour.
- Job records: a small record with no file name or content (an ID, status, size and your anonymous session identifier) may remain for up to 24 hours so expired links can show a clear message.
Backups of the media storage are not made.
Where the operator has switched it on, uploaded and imported files are checked by an antivirus scanner before they are processed. The scan happens on our own server and the file is not sent to a third party.
Security
Conversions run in isolated, resource-limited processes, files are stored under random identifiers, and downloads are tied to your anonymous session so a link alone does not grant access. When served over HTTPS, data is encrypted in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not upload files you are not comfortable processing online.
Your choices and rights
You can cancel a conversion at any time, and the files for it are removed. Because we do not keep accounts or tie files to your identity, we usually cannot look up data about a specific person. If you believe we hold data about you, or want to ask about your rights under applicable data-protection law, contact us and we will help where we can.

Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
