Send a report
Files are private unless their owner presses "Share link & embed code". Only shared files can be seen by other people, so a share link (it looks like /s/…) is what we need to find the file. Paste it below.
What happens next
- Any share link in your report is switched off immediately, before anyone has reviewed it. This is deliberate: it is better to pause a file than to leave a problem online.
- A person reads the report. If it is valid, the file is deleted. If the report was mistaken, the file's owner can share it again.
- People who repeatedly break the terms can be blocked from the service, and websites that keep being used to take other people's work can be added to the link block list.
- We reply by email if we need more detail or want to tell you what we decided.
What a copyright notice needs
This follows the usual structure of a takedown notice, such as the one used under the US DMCA. It is not legal advice.
- Which work you own, and where the original is.
- Where the copy is: the share link.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
- A statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
- Your name, a way to contact you, and your typed signature.
Knowingly sending a false claim can have legal consequences for you, so please only send a notice if you are sure.
